 Balboa Park’s annual December Nights is the largest free community festival in San Diego. This two-day gift to the community starts off the holiday season on December 3 and 4. Featuring sparkling lights, theatrical and musical entertainment, exotic cuisine and spirits, this unique holiday celebration will draw more than 300,000 visitors over its two days. Also participating in the festivities, Balboa Park museums will be opening their doors free of charge from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both evenings. Guests will get to see the charming Santa Lucia Procession at the San Diego Museum of Man, as well as musical and dance performances from the San Diego Junior Theatre and San Diego Civic Youth Ballet. This event is fun for the whole family.

The festivities get started on Friday, December 3, at 5 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. On Saturday, December 4, the celebration starts at noon and lasts until 10 p.m. For more information visit www.balboapark.org/decembernights.
Driving Directions from Our Hotel to Balboa Park:
1. Head east on G Street toward 7th Avenue and go 0.2 miles.
2. Turn left at 11th Avenue and go 0.2 miles.
3. Turn right at Broadway and go 276 feet.
4. Turn left at West 12th Avenue/Park Boulevard, go about a mile and you’ll find yourself right in the middle of Balboa Park.
