Bring out your Sombreros for San Diego’s Cinco de Mayo Gas Lamp Pubcrawl

It’s time to dust off that sombrero and make plans to celebrate freedom at San Diego’s world famous Cinco de Mayo Gas Lamp pubcrawl. This annual event commemorates the 1862 victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at the Battle of Puebla with a full day of good company, great food and all around fun!

Cinco de Mayo

With over 20 bars participating, this annual event is a great way to get to know and tour the San Diego Gas Lamp Quarter without having to pay cover at every venue that you go to. The celebration is a one day event from noon to 2:30 am, leaving plenty of time over the course of the weekend for early morning sightseeing, mid-day adventures and late night dining. San Diego is an exciting city with beautiful beaches, fun attractions and irresistible shops. That being said, although the pubcrawl is a one day event, it would be worth your while (especially if you’re coming from out of town) to make the trip a weekend getaway to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer.

Registration for this event will held be at the local Taste/Thirst on 4th. With a 7 day happy hour, a fully stocked bar and a variety of appetizing menu choices, this is the perfect spot to start off this fun filled celebration. The restaurant owner Rodney Daylamy started working in restaurants around the age of ten and has used all of his hospitality knowledge to open this popular, spacious, unmatchable downtown hot spot. So while you’re around his place for registration, you might as well enjoy the food and atmosphere then try a shot of the restaurant’s signature house drink, Rodney’s Juice. Daylamy claims that most locals keep coming back for more!
