Get Into Shape at the San Diego Marathon!

Want to get into shape this summer and get a free ticket to Sea World? Sign up for the San Diego Rock’n’Roll Marathon series! There will be a half marathon and a full course for different athletic levels. The course will take you all over San Diego, from Olive Park to the ocean to La Jolla to finish at Sea World. It’s a great way to test your limits!
Registration is $135 for the half marathon and $160 for full race until May 27. The price includes an official race t-shirt, goodie bag, refreshments at the start, along the course and at the finish, a Finishers Medal, Certificate, live bands at every mile and admission to the Post-Race Headliner Concert. You also get a free Single Day ticket to Sea World, valid to use within the month of June. You can purchase discounted tickets for your friends and family not participating in the race so you all can enjoy the park together.
There will be a Health and Fitness Expo both days, June 2 and 3 with over 60 exhibitors and other free samples. Vendors will showcase the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health and nutrition information and much more. All runners must visit the Expo to pick up their race number, swag bag and t-shirt. The Expo will be located at the San Diego Convention Center and is free to the public, although parking is $10. If you’re staying in hotels around San Diego Convention Center, be sure to check the Expo out!
Kids can participate in the 2nd annual Ing Kids Rock San Diego. The race is non-timed and non-competitive for kindergarteners through 7th graders. They can either complete a marathon training program in the weeks leading up to the race or run the one-mile course on June 2. They will start and finish at S Shorse Park Dy in San Diego near Sea World. Each grade will start at a different time. Registration is $25-$30. For more information, visit the website here.
