Shop for the Holidays at the San Diego Art Festival!

Who wants to do all of their holiday shopping in a crowded mall? If you happen to be visiting San Diego in December, visit the San Diego Art Festival to pick up some great gifts for all your loved ones! The Festival is three days of holiday entertainment including bands, magicians, carolers, and much more.
More than 200 art exhibitors will be present at the festival with over 10,000 original works including paintings, sculpture, drawings, printmaking, photography, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, wood, metal, stone, glass and mixed media. San Diego’s own Fern Street Circus with trapeze artists, jugglers and clowns will put on a show, as well as magician Michael E. Johnson, San Diego’s Entertainer of the Year. Jazz guitarist Dirk K and The Spirit of Christmas Past, an a cappella vocal ensemble in Renaissance costume will also perform to help guests get into the holiday spirit. Glass blowing, weaving, pottery-making, painting, and sculpting demonstrations will be held at the festival for attendees to learn more about crafting.
Admission to the event is $8 for adults and $7 for seniors. Children under 12 are welcome to enter for free. After attending the festival, you can head over to the Del Mar Racetrack to drive through the largest animated light show the West Coast has ever witnessed, called “Holiday of Lights.” When you show the festival program at the Holiday of Lights ticket window, you can get $2 off their admission ticket. Hours of the show are 5:30pm to 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday and until 10pm on Sunday night. Additionally, if you have purchased a Holiday of Lights ticket, you can get a $2 discount for admission to the Holiday Festival. A coupon for $1 off adult admission is also available on the festival website.
